Smell-weak hops, faint malt.
Foam- thin, hops, bitter tones. Head is medium to large in color, and lightly orange-white in color.
Appearance- nice basic, classic-looking bottle, brewer bottle cap. Somewhat like it.
From - pint
Taste - weak hops, weak malt, nothing over the top, but ok sipper. For a good price, somewhat decent.

Bottle from Linda Shop, Burton on Trent (not listed on Brewver), drank at home. Pours a dark brown with a medium sized foamy cream head and good thick lacing. Aroma is malts, cereals, rye, and stale bread, plus hints of raisins and cocoa. In the mouth it is quite bitter, but with a creamy texture giving plenty of malty sweetness too. Flavour has bread, rye, malts and caramel. Finish is quite dry. This is quite nice – interesting and different. Similar to kvass but with an alcoholic kick behind it.

Half litre can shared with my farmer friend Graham on 30th January 2026. Obtained from a local Eastern European store. Drank at home, poured into two old Home Ales half pint glasses. Looks flat, no head on the purple/blue body, not flat, it's got some 'fizz'; hence the name I suppose!

Half litre can from a local Eastern European store. Shared with Graham (my farmer friend who likes a cider). 30th January 2026, at home into two old Home Ales half pint countrymen glasses. It's a sweet one, clear body, no real head, aroma of apples.

A typical beer of these east countries, a pils/lager, decently hoppy, bready, a bit metalic and watery, good for the aperitive, 08.05.18, buying it in one grocery shop, in the area of plainpalais, Geneva, drinking it at Prélaz, Lausanne.

I found a single can stuffed in a dark corner of a Sainsbury's. Nose, is mash tun, raisin, malt, doughy. Taste is raisin, cola, hint of the yoghurt note, wort, dough, lemon.
Decent.

Can from local European shop. Drank at home – in celebration of 107 years of Latvian independence ! Pours a slightly hazy dark chocolate with a small frothy tan head and some lacing. There’s a sense of boiled cabbage in the aroma – but in a good way ! In the mouth it is quite sweet but has an overpowering flavour of caramel. Slightly watery texture with flavour too of malts and chocolate. Some bitterness (and plenty of caramel) in the finish. This is quite decent – but also a bit of a mess.

Thanks omhper! Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, cornflakes, toffee, some mild wooden tones. Flavour is kind of similar to the aroma. No real bitterness and quite much cornflakes too.
