Thanks to my little brother Kari who brought this from Cesis. Golden color, small white head. Sweet malty, grassy, a bit unclean diacetylic nose. Light to medium bodied. Papery, metallic, sweety malty, harsh but with sweet finish. Unbalanced, unclean.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Full bodied lager with a strength of taste you would associate with a much stronger lager. Slighty bitter finish. Alright.

From a 500ml bottle on 21/7/2010. Has a slight citrus aroma, almost like mandarin. Tastes sweet, with a touch of apple followed by a short, mild hop finish. Not the worst, but there are much better Latvian pales to be found.

500ml from tap. Shared with Stefan at outdoor restaurant in Riga’s Old Town 14.Jun.2010. Dark amber colour. Nutty aroma, which reminded me of newly made Maryland Cookies. Smooth. Tasted like hazelnuts; at first it appeared to be sweet, then the bitter notes protruded and lingered on.
