Bottle shared at a tasting at Tom C’s place. Black with a pretty, big brown head. Nice aroma of roast, coffee and a bit of licorice. Bittersweet flavor, roast, with coffee, a bit of licorice and a burnt bitterish finish. Full-bodied. Very good.

Can from Bo Brooks’ Lighthouse Liquors, Baltimore. Golden in colour, with a decent, white, head. A well-balanced beer, with citrus fruits, juicy hops, a hint of pine and lengthy, bitter finish. Very good.

(19/10/2014) 355 ml. can sampled @ “Exclusive S&G Tasting: Special guest 77ships”. Thanks to Mathieu87 & PriorL. Dark orange, little head. Lots of bitter orange in the nose, light citrus. Taste is bitter orange peel, sweet caramel base, citrus, pine malt. Tad malty body; Enjoyable enough for sure. /////// 355 ml. can @ home. Purchased at Caigny. Date is impossible to read. Drank straight from the can. Nose is grass, floral hops & light grain alcohol, touch stale beer. Taste is overripe peach, bitter orange peel, caramel & candy sugar sweetness, touch stale boozy beer, lots of overripe peach, light pine resin,.... Oily very easy to drink. Pleasant easy to drink, simple & efficient beer. Score 3.8 -> 4.1

Can @Eindhovens Herfstbierfestival. Black colour with a small beige head. Smells coffee, roasty, espresso, hint of vanilla, chocolate. Nice. Tastes roasty, coffee, some vanilla. Nice beer. Medium to full body, soft carbo.

Bottle shared. Pours clear amber brown with a thick creamy tan head. Aroma of smokey bacon, caramel, malt. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bottle at the "Dean is a cheap bastard tasting cos he let Rene buy a beer from the shop and then asked to taste it for the tick" tasting. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin round white head. The aroma is big smoky bacon. The flavour is moderate bitter with a rich woody, resin, smoky bitter hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle at the "Dean is a cheap bastard tasting cos he let Rene buy a beer from the shop and then asked to taste it for the tick" tasting. Rusty orange color, small off-white to beige head. Aroma has a lot of smoke and smoky bacon. Taste malts, smoke, sweetish. Tastes better than it smells. Not my thing.

[9/27/14] Bottle sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2014 in Bodegraven. Thanks potjebier. Clear amber. Aroma of piney hops, kinda stale, and some malt. Flavor has some sweetish malt and bitter hops, piney, a bit stale. Medium-bodied.

Bottle shared at BBF ’14, 27/09/14, thanks to the supplier. Clear amber with moderate off white spotting. Nose is pine, earthy tones, apricot, bitter orange. Taste comprises earthy hops, caramel malt, pine, orange pith, grapefruit, tea bags. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so IPA, lacks citricana and hops for this Bois.
