Description
Omnipollo® is a beer production company founded by brewer Henok Fentie and artist Karl Grandin in 2010 with a shared vision of changing the perception of beer — forever.
We brew a plethora of styles to explore what beer has and can become. As a joint and equal partnership between a brewer and a graphic artist our creative process has come to resemble the work shop of other pop cultural expressions such as music.
Our beers are always a collaborative effort and we brew at breweries in all corners of the world. This approach means we get to stay curious, grounded and tuned in. Much like that good house guest.

(Keg at Oluthuone Haavi, 20260211) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had earth, toasted malts and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, toasted malts, caramel, hint of coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste had toasted malts, coffee and bitterness. Good.

A regular beer, an interesting beverage with American and Belgian influence, rather dry, grainy and malty, a bit burnt, fruity, a bit tart, final of dry hop, 21.03.2, at Epalinges, from the coop city, Bern.

Can from Hogs Back Brewery Shop. Hazy-opaque dull gold. Foamy white head soon retreats. Aroma has stone fruit and citrus with a light resinous edge. Flavourwise it's more punchy. Bitter, with a sour edge. Resinous. Gooseberry. Grapefruit. Vinous. Spice. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Aggressive stuff.

Bottle from Mikkeller Bangkok and shared in Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with a thin, whispy tan head. The aroma is roasty, liquorice, chocolate. The flavour is liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a silky smooth, rich, oily, roasty, chocolate, light coffee, warm boozy liquorice bitter palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. Nicely balanced with well hidden alcohol.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: glossy burnt orange to amber color with a sly transparency; one finger white foamy head slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: pineapples, peaches and cherry-like hoppy tones mesh with some grassy hoppy tones and a clean caramel to biscuity malt (the malts here seem to be messing with me a bit)
Flavor: does a decent job of blending the prior noted aromas together to a fine bitter then sweet sort of way, does eventually become harnessed to a "bittersweet" character; finishes with more pineapples and peachy hop tones
Texture: medium bodied leaning into being more of a sipper and having a good semi-smooth tone rolling across the tongue
Overall: it's an odd DIPA to say the least, they could always team up with Bent Hill in Vermont and man oh man, I bet they could brew up some definitely weirdness.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in color with a quarter finger's worth of tan foamy head which dissipated kindly to leave some light lace
Aroma: coconut in front of everything else; then notes of peanut butter and chocolate, subtle stout-like roasty & coffee tones in there pretty nicely
Flavor: moderately blends the prior noted aromas to a nice sweet to roasty to nutty quality; finishes peanut butter-like and coconutty
Texture: medium bodied, good as a sipper; fairly smooth along the tongue with some salty to nutty stabs but nothing substantial - just noticeable
Overall: I think I liked this beer for the most part, I'd say it's pretty decadent, there's there, I am glad the coconut was real and I wasn't smelling and tasting sun tan lotion. So I believe I would have this one again.
