Pale, beige. Dusty, yeasty, slightly coriandery aroma. Slight sweet maltiness, light spice, light dust. Off-dry finish. Preview sample (but fully conditioned)...my book is out on this one though. Lacks the wildness and wonkiness of a saison but not altogether a bad drink.

Bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007-09-22, 7-4-7-3-14=35
Solid, well brewed, good delicate caramel flavor, subtle red berries fruitness.
Bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007-09-20, 4-3-4-2-7=20
Cloudy dark brown color with purple shades. The aroma has a light sourness, more the flavor. Ok, there is some fruit, but there is nothing else interesting here. The aroma has also a light vegetable touch. Weird.

Beautiful shining hazy red-copper color. Light aroma of malt, fruity;light sourness. Good body, solid beer, with the fruits; fresh and dry finish. Not bad, but fruits in beer are not my hit…

Hazy golden color. Not full bodied. Hoppy, of course, dry, but the hop has been infused too much.

Hazy blond color; creamy head. Quite nice hoppy aroma, a bit fruity. The flavor is less interesting than expected, the hop dominates, with some thin resins, but there is some yeast and some yeast off-flavors too (it’s a bit metallic). I like hops, so I don’t dislike it, but it’s a bit… controversial.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear red/orange, minimal head. Lightly yeasty nose with plenty of ripe raspberries. Sweet and fruity with rounded mouthfeel. The deeper down the bottle I came the more I disliked the flavour of almondy glue and raspebrry jam. One-dimensional and overly sweet.

Light red-tinged brown. Rich cherry nose with brown sugary malts. I never had it fresh, but after a year in the bottle this is very well-balanced. It’s the least fruit-forward of the three, with a great dark malt character (yes, it’s based on a tripel but a year in the bottle brings out an almost muscovado-like caramelized note). Overtop of this sits the candyish, fruity cherry. Mmm.

Slightly pinkish colour. Big, fresh raspberry nose...not bad for a year-old beer. Raspberry is upfront, but melded well with the tripel in the background. The tartest, snappiest of the three fruit beers and the most challenging on the palate.

Bright amber-brown. Fruity, brown sugary nose. Light body. Moves smoothly across the palate. Basically has the profile of a dubbel but with less size. Makes for a quaffable brew...probably good because it gets diacetylly when it warms.
