Description
L’exigence : mon premier combat

Bottle, 4.5% as Loïc Raison Cidre Bouché Breton Brut. Mild apple core aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Very small but stable white head. Good apple flavour, mostly core. Drier than most French ciders, but not sour at all.

Corked bottle, as Loïc Raison Cidre Bouché Breton Doux
Deep blond color, big bubbles, no head. Some apple juice, sweetish; but also aroma of bubble-gum and rotten fruits, and some flavor of rotten fruits too. Not good.

Corked bottle
Blond color, the head disappears immediately. Light aroma, ordinary, with some cork. Medium dry, ordinary taste; typical French cider, but nothing special.
Just a bit sweeter than the Brut.

Corked bottle at Cêperie du Manoir Breton, rue Odessa 18, Paris
Golden color. Light apple aroma and flavor; it’s quite dry, mostly at the end, when it’s also a bit tannic. Not impressive but drinkable.

Corked bottle, 3% ABV, from a Nicolas shop, Paris
Deep blond color, no head. Generic aroma of fruit juices, light rotten apples. The mouthfeel is quite dry, not extreme; there is a light apple flavor and a very late astringency, that becomes even disturbing. Not interesting.

Bottled. A very hazy dark golden cider with a thin beige head. The aroma has strong notes of apples as well as notes of acid. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of apples and some wood, leading to a tart finish.

23/12 A 0.75 l corked bottle, shared with Doggythedog. It poured pale golden body with smaller head. Pleasant apple aroma with a bit of cork. Nice flavor of freshly squeezed apples, some wood, might be a little bit too sweet, but its very pleasant. Not overly carbonated, just enough that all its qualities are shown. Long, sweet apple finish, only very slightly astringent. Very nice apple juice, this is surely one of the very best ciders I’ve tried so far!

75 cl bottle. medium to dark gold with a big head at first but it is instantly gone. Lots of bubbles from the start. Warm apple aroma, slightly sweetish but a decent tart aspect as well. Slightly sweet, rather medicinal flavor. not as sour or dry as I would like. The flavor was slightly dull, inferior to the fresh, refreshing nose. Carbonation also lacking, with a rather flat, unlively body. Drinkable, but needs to be cold. first time it was cool, and not as good.
