Acorn Brewery is born and bred in Wombwell Barnsley, where we have been growing up since 2003. Moved to current address in October 2007. Since the very first brew of Acorn Barnsley Bitter back in 2003 the brewery has amassed over 50 awards for the quality of its’ cask and bottled beers

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A pale amber pour with a tight cream head; malty aroma; strong malty body with a sharp herbal bitterness; and a powerful grassy bitter finish. Rather one-dimensional.

Cask @ Royal Oak, Halifax. Copper-gold with a glow and a thick creamy head. Has sweetened malts in its nose and bitter malts in taste.

Cask at Larkin's Bar, Hull. Golden with a head, and medium to full-bodied in its hoppiness, with hints of sugar. Accompanied by a photo I took of a waterfall in Switzerland.

23/2/2019. Cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival 2019, Norwich. Pours very dark brown with a bubbly beige head. Aroma of malt, hops, dark fruit, lactose, coffee, chocolate and liquorice. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Dry, chocolate finish. Good!
