Description
We are a micro brewery based in Lockwood, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and we also now have our own TapHouse, The Corner in Huddersfield's Market Walk We brew high quality cask conditioned real ales, bottle conditioned beers and limited quantities of Key Keg. Over the years, we have gained a reputation for producing crisp, clean flavoured hoppy ales. Our speciality is single hopped variety ales. We are regularly trying new hop varieties and blending different hops to create new flavours. We always stock a variety of single hopped beers, as well as semi-regulars and new one-off brews which enable us the explore different hop and malt combinations.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Poured straw with a thin white head; citrus aroma; lightly citrus flavour to start, but with a think oily body revealing a complex texture with sweet chewy malts and grain; then a gently bitter finish. Shows that a Golden Ale need not be one-dimensional.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Clear pale gold, lasting off white head. Peachy fruit aorma. Wow, that is really unusual, it’s like Robinson tangerine jelly. Really arresting tangerine flavour.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 18/4/10. Near black in colour with a thin tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, berry fruit and some caramel sweetness. Flavour had more fruitiness, plenty of roasted malts, chocolate and a decent, bitter finish. Good.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 17/04/10. Pale amber with a slight white head. Aroma of fruity malts with a touch of grassy hops. Flavour of cereal malts with some more fruit and a moderately bitter finish. Less hoppy than the other Mallinsons’ beers I have tried.
