Description
Waterloo Beer is brewed with care in the Mont-Saint-Jean farm, the famous 'English Hospital' of the Battle of Waterloo. More than ever, this high-quality beer is a symbol of authenticity, craftsmanship and courage. In 1815, during the famous conflict, the troops were supplied with high-fermented beer that gave them strength and courage to face each other. Two centuries later, Anthony Martin is proud to revisit this moment in history by reviving the local beer quality, prepared strictly according to the original recipe: Waterloo – beer of bravery!

F: huge, ivory white, good retention. C: brow to dark brown, hazy. A: sour malty, bit brown sugar, fruity, bit lemon. T: for winter beer really unusual, bit malty, bit sour roasted tones, peach, bit caramel, red fruits, brown sugar, medium body and carbonation, I don’t understand what is “hiver” in this beer, 33cl bottle from Cora Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Brussels.

Bottle from Feniks, Split. Shared with heavy and Erna. Misty golden, lasting tiny white head. Rotten fruit, tartness, phenols, apple, vague glue... Meh. Flat taste, sweet perfumy apple, light alcohol, ends herbal and vaguely alcoholic. Bit prickly. Not a proper trippel perhaps, buy solid after a very underwhelming start.
