330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grassy, hoppy aroma, herbal-spicy, minimally citrusy. Taste is slightly bitter, minimally tart, husky, notes of spelt, a touch of hay, cautious peppery spiciness. Nice combination of different types of grain.

Bottle from Bierzwerg.de. Looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Smokey aroma. Starts strong-malty, fine smokey, light notes of sausages, not too intense. Some bacon. Finish with light sourish hints, still strong-malty. Not bad!

bottle from Bierzwerg. Deep golden-brown with a fluffy off-white head. Shy hints of smoke in the nose, also some steamed vegetables. Quite light-bodied and thin for the strength. Some dark malts, some aromatic and bitter hops with a very, very shy touch of smoke. Again, there are traces of boiled vegetables. I love sausage and I love beer, so I was intrigued by the idea of this beer. However, there is hardly any smoke character in it, and it’s quite thin. Disappointing at the moment, but with a lot of potential.

330ml bottle. Hazy, dark brown colour with average to huge, thick, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous head. Smoky aroma in bacon and sausage direction, hints of wood ashes, slightly thin and airy (at least compared to the Schlenkerlas), caramel malty basis. Taste is smoky, woody, minimally dry, hints of cold, clammy ashes, a touch of tar and TCP, leather and sticking-plaster, cautious hints of straw and chocolate; in the final analysis watery. Very nice aroma, but sadly the smoke obtains no appreciable support in taste. Needs more flesh to the bones, but a very promising start nonetheless.

0,33 l bottle from "Mein Münster". Hazy, pale yellow with thick white, frothy head. Fruity, citrusy aroma. Taste of lemon, straw and grapefruit. A bit musty. Flat carbonation, thin to medium body. Quite one-dimensional, lacking freshness, expected way more. Still very solid.

0,33 l bottle from Edeka Rotthowe in Münster. Murky dark red-brown (if held into the light), almost black with frothy tan head. Slight aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Taste of coffee, pumpernickel and hints of chocolate. Very nice! Some sourness with crisp bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body, low carbonation. Really pleasant, definitely underestimated!
