330ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy and strawy aroma, hints of burnt straw, a touch of horse dung. Taste is minimally sweet pale malty, minimally grainy and strawy, some malty spiciness, mildly bitter hoppy overtones; light and slightly watery, on the other hand oily texture somehow. Not a complete black-out.

Bottle from the Thai supermarket in Prenton. Appearance - golden with steady bubbles and a nice fluffy head. Nose - grassy and light biscuit. Taste - light caramel and biscuit. Some freshness on the finish. Maybe herbs again. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - solid-ish.

330mL can, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt, a touch of oats and light coffee. Flavour is a bit harsh, with metallic notes, medium roast, burnt notes and a little alcohol. Not nearly as smooth as Angkor Stout and especially not as good as Black Barrley. Needs some work.

330mL can, pours black with a reddish tinge and a medium beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, a little coffee, and a touch of roast. Flavour brings out a nice roasted malt character, some espresso, and lightly dry burnt notes. Roasted and coffee-like on the finish. Light-to-medium bodied for the style. Quite good.

330mL can, pours a clear piss yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out straw, corn and lightly sweet cereal malt. Flavour is the same, like any old macro industrial lager, with corn and sweet cereal malt. A little vegetal, but not too offensive. A pale lager like many others.

Op vakantie in Cambodja zowel van tap, als uit fles (en misschien ook wel uit blik). Vooral van de tap in verband met de warmte (boven de 30 graden) een lekker pilsje. Blijft toch leuk om lokaal te drinken.

Ring-pull bottle, bb 3/18. Black with a tan head that settles to a fat coat. Blackstrap licorice and molasses aroma with some weird buttered toast notes, coffee, blueberries (?). Oily, medium to low carbonation. Not all that sweet but hints of richness - nice. Mocha, ink(!), prunes, some umami notes that I can’t place (but would be lazy to call soy sauce) anise, mace. Moderate bitterness. Alcohol is pretty much hidden. Interesting, certainly one I’d have again. More than a hint of Baltic Porter about it.

This slightly unusual stout has an aroma that’s dominated by butter, plus breadcrumbs, liquorice, coffee and some citrus notes. The breadcrumbs and coffee are prominent in the tasting, plus caramel and a piney, minty hop flavour.

Can, brought back by a colleague. Typical sour yeasty lager aroma, with fruity hints. Light gold. Bubbly. Good creamy white head quickly dissipates. Sweet and sour. Not overly sweet which is a plus point. Light and watery. Lively soda water carbonation. Dry finish. The prominent feature is the carbonation. Drinkable.
