Bottle (as Depuis 1764). Pours golden with white head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is malt, alcohol, grainy. Flavor is sweet, grainy, malty. Overall: not good. Overall: not good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bofferding Lager Pils 2017 on 05 Jul 2018 at 16:46. Original review text: backlog

12oz bottle I picked up in Bogota, Colombia, of all places. Pours a clear gold with some white head that faded fast. Nose is what you’d expect, lemon, soggy bread, straw, some mild biscuit. Flavor has the same, lemon and yeast, soggy bread, straw, white flour, a bit of peppercorn too. Crisp finish.

330 ml. bottle @ home. Bottled on 14.07.2014. BBF 14.11.2014. Clear apple golden, creamy white head. Metallic nose, overly sweet corn, dusty bread, sticky cereal,… Taste is overly sweet cereal, corn, yeast, vegetable oil,… Oily body. Too sweet for what it is,… That might be the age but I am not sure about this being stellar fresh.

Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass brownish, nice head. Starts fine malty, modest spicy, a bit dry. Light fruity notes of raisins. Finish well balanced, a bit boring-malty. Okay.

Bottle from Marcus. To whom I am thankful, cause he went thru a lot to get it! Pours pale gold with a white head. Light yeasty aroma. Med body, or nearly. There’s a lot of flavor, but it’s not all familiar to me. The hop makes me think of grape. Definitely underlying pale malt. Nicely bitter. Cleaner with nicer taste than most pale Euro lagers.
