750ml bottle pours an inky black with some ringing beige head. Nose is malty, bread crust, brown sugar. Flavor is strong, malty, bread, peppery, molasses, pencil lead, a little blackberry. Full, peppery finish. Pretty solid.

Bottle at RBWG Asheville Grand Tasting. Pours hazy yellow with a bubbly white head. Nose has some citric lemon tang, pale bread. Light sweet flavor, slight funk, dry dough, melon and lemon. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty clean to finish, mild tangy citrus, some funk, straw, pale dough. Nice beer.
