Draft pour pint at The Collective, listed as a Crucible Foundry Lights Pale. Clear shiny golden pour with a patchy foam head. Mild, well balanced aroma and flavor. Very refreshing way to end the work day. The first beer after a long day is truly a great moment in someoneβs day, if not, the best moment. This beer fits the "I need a beer" deScription quite nicely. A refreshing, mild flavored, mild bitter, crushable pale here. I think Iβll have another.

On tap at Crucible, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out very faded raspberries and a little herbal grassy notes. Flavour is pretty herbaceous and crunchy, with pretty much no notice of the raspberry. Weak stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Twelve Bar / Crucible Steel String Imperial Porter on 04 Nov 2016 at 20:48 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5. Original review text: On tap at Crucible, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is very dense, with lots of roast and dark cocoa. Flavour is similar, with dry bitter cocoa, roast and earthy notes. Very sludgy palate. A bit messy and unpleasantly thick, but decent overall.

On tap at Crucible, pours a clear pale yellow blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of grass and a little skunk cabbage. Flavour is big on the grass upfront, with light vegetal notes, a touch of hops and straw. Clean and nicely brewed, though nothing special.

On tap at Crucible, pours a cloudy dark golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, piney notes, and bready malt. Flavour is overly sweet, with caramel malt, cotton candy and resinous hops. Over-malted and cloyingly sweet. Not very good.

On tap at Crucible, pours a hazy dark copper / amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bubblegum, Belgian yeast and dried fruits. Flavour is well-balanced, with brown sugar, dark dried fruits and bready malt. Well-constructed, with a dry finish, though not exactly authentic. Nice stuff.
