Draft @ Extreme Beer Fest, 4 Feb, 17. Cloudy pale yellow color, weak bubbly head. Aroma is mild Brett, rotten peaches, pale grains.
Pale grain supports the fruit and the Brett that must have been picked up during the barrel aging. Nice light tart finish. Great crisp mouthfeel with a good effervescent mouthfeel. Nice change of pace from all the stout I sampled on this night. Both Amherst brews I sampled today are nicely crafted. 3.8

Draft @ Extreme Beer Fest, 4 Feb, 17. Nice looking stout. Lasting tan head on top of the stout. Aroma is light coffee bean, mild maple, and maybe slight bacon.
I see what the brewer was going for here. Trying to make a stout similar to a Funky Buddha Maple Bacon Coffee Porter. Honestly, this stout is nicely constructed. Flavor of maple soaked chocolate, coffee, and the cured smoked pork belly giving some mild “bacon” nuances. Body is good and drinks fuller for a stout under 7%. The finish also has a nice amount of lingering coffee. Fine job on this one. Wow!

Cask at the brewpub - Amherst. Pours deep. Lack-brown with a fine, brown foam head. Immense nose of coffee and rich chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with dense Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, bittersweet cocoa, burnt wood, dirt, mild coffee acidity. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Oily cocoa to finish with well roasted coffee, burnt wood, mild earthy bitterness. Great stuff.

Cask at the brewpub - Amherst. Pours oily black-brown with a fine tan cream head. The aroma holds notes of tangy dark cherries and hints of cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with further dark cherry, smooth chocolate, mellow earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Well balanced to finish with burt wood, semi-dry cocoa, dried cherries. Nice nuance here.

Tap at the brewpub - Amherst. Pours clear orange-gold with a fine filmy head. It is a heavily spiced pumpkin beer. Buckets of nutmeg and cinnamon in here. Some bready malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lingering autumnal spices in the finish, some sugary bread. Very tasty.
