Description
The brewery was founded by Phil and Cynthia “Scuttle” Bannan in 1996 with a 20 barrel system in the brew house, two 20 barrel fermenters and one 20 barrel bright tank. Since then our capacity has grown and we have broadened our product line to include more than 20 styles of hand-crafted ales and lagers.
After more than 20 years Scuttlebutt Brewing Company remains family owned and independent.
Since the beginning Scuttlebutt beers have been brewed in Everett with the Northwest’s finest ingredients – barley from Vancouver, Washington, hops from the Yakima Valley, a proprietary yeast from Odell, Oregon and some of the nation’s finest drinking water from the Spada Reservoir in the Cascade Mountains. Our beers are clean, balanced and have been brewed with care for over 17 years.

16 oz can poured, from a 4 pack picked up at Scuttlebutt. Was sold on a Galaxy hopped lager to start, then I see Fort George had their hand in it? Awesome! Pale golden pour, a touch cloudy, with a moderately thin head. Lots of resinous hop character. Light and clean base with juicy peach punch notes. Definitely a Galaxy showcase. Fruit forward nose. Has a crisp pils grain late in the palate paired with more of that juicy and resinous hop character. I really hope I caught this one near the beginning of the release. Not ready to say goodbye to this likely one off brew. Love the style. Love the beer here.

Draft pour pint at Scuttlebutt, Everett. Mildy hazy golden pour, patchy head. Rich melon and citrus hop flavors. Sweet tropical nose. A lot of this beer comes of as sweet andnim jot really sure why. Fruity hazy pale. Tangy citrus finish. Pretty good.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear gold with a large foamy white head that laced. Aroma is bready with a light citrus tang. Not quite med body. Flavor is bready with mixed things - citrus, something prickly on the tongue, earth and more. Clean and crisp. Nice.

Can from Community Food CoOp Bellingham, WA; 5 Jan 2023, 3 months old
Blond colour. Lightly dank. Lean, drying, not getting particular malt or hop vibes, some phenol, some grass, and some alcohol. It's an OK beer.
