Almost opaque black, tall frothy tan head, half-way lasting. Rich aroma, roasted malts, cocoa, dark fruits, vanilla, liquorice, touch of wood. Smooth taste, light to medium sweet and light bitter, roasted malts, chocolate, light vanilla, bit wood. Malty sweetbitter aftertaste, chocolate and light fruity notes, ultimately also a bit of wood and bourbon. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Less strong than one would expect, well-balanced and rich though, all in all a smooth tasty porter.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy brown to orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty, jam hoppy. Bitter, fruity and crisp hoppy. Sweet fruity. Tropical fruity. Peachy finish.

Tasted from the tap on the 09/07/2016 at Caminha Artbeerfest 2016. Looks amazing but taste is disappointing. Black colour with a medium foamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and vainilla. Taste is watery with presence of roasted malts. Next one please!

Pours with serious fog but almost no head, and I had to do some aggressive pouring to get even that. Soft mead aroma, nice honey, some hops. Flavour is a lot of smooth honey without anything else to back it up. Would do well chilled on a warm day, but there’s not much going on here. Drinkable at best.

Bottle @ home. A bit on the warm side since I wasn’t really planning on drinking this. Mrdium to full body. Roasty, salmiak, vanilla.. Pretty nice. Bit heavy on the carbo.

Bottle @ home. Opaque pitch black color, average sized brown head. Aroma is malts, roasted malts, a hint of nuts, a hint of vanilla and hint of wood. Taste malts, roasted malts, light hints of vanilla, lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Can’t say I get any bourbon. Nice oily texture, decent body, soft carbonation. Nice.

Brown color with a minimal and quickly dissaparing light beige head. Aroma has notes of toasted caramel, barley malts, ripe fruit. Flavor is slightly sweet, caramelish with notes of molasses, high presence of alcohol, some wooden notes. Smooth and dense on palate, very alcoholic, toasty with mild bitterness.

At a tasting, many thanks, smallish creamy espresso like head, pitch black color, aroma of cake, a woody melange, some roastiness and a whiff of smoke, aroma of chocolate, smoke, roastiness, sea salt and licorice, light bitterness, light pleasant sweetness coming through. Very interesting but a bit over the top.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Max. Black with a brown head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, licorice, smoke, wood, piney hops, some alcohol. Sweet and bitter flavor with smoke, roast, wood, chocolate, coffee, licorice, salty note, piney hops, and some alcohol. Quite full-bodied. A bit over the top, but still good.
