Fles gekregen van RobvdB. Geprobeerd met Roelzie. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een volle bruine schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige zoete aardbeien achtige geur. De smaak is koffie, chocolade, fruitig en aardbeien achtig met een bittere afdronk.

Bottle. Almost clear amber body under a small off-white head. Aroma has malt, dry fruit and hint of smoke. Much more distinct smoke in taste, malt, dry fruit and warming alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Surprised by the big differ of smoke from aroma to taste. Enjoyable.

Disappearing dark cream head over virtually black beer. Sweet-roasted, orangezeste and a bit vanilla. Ink, dry brown bread (even a bit moulded), roast. Alcohol & fusels. Peated however, is missing, and the alcohol gives the impression of being added. Dry finish. Alcoholheat, alcoholthinning, making it indeed thin in MF. This is... not what it ought to be. The added alcoholimpression is one, but I mainly dislike the nose being perpendicular on the flavour. Thanks to Stef!
