About
Birra Amarcord was born in 1997 in Rimini to a number of friends who, like the famous song, wanted to change the world (of Italian beer). Birra Amarcord was born to and in a region, Romagna. It is the upshot of a dream that began 20 years ago and which today has come true. It is also the upshot of a constant and relentless passion. Later on, Birra Amarcord also became "a family history," inasmuch as two generations of the Bagli family carry on this dream with dedication, thanks to top-quality raw materials but above all thanks to the people who, together with them, every day work to create one-of-a-kind products. Making good beer is not at all simple.

Although the registered office still is in Rimini, their brewery is since 2015 located in Apecchio.

Średnia, gęsta beżowa piana, długo się utrzymująca. Nie piłem piwa świeżego, więc ciężko porównać. Teraz w aromacie suszone śliwki, pumpernikiel, czekolada, nuty miodowe, sporo sosu sojowego, wiśnie i wydaje mi się że lekki DMS. W smaku śliwki, czekolada, kawa, likier śliwkowy. Alkohol wyczuwalny, lekko ogrzewa przełyk. Goryczka wyczuwalna, przyjemnie kontruje całość. Ciało średnie, wysycenie niskie. Całkiem przyjemny porter. Nie do pomylenia z Risem. Ciężko powiedzieć co mu dało leżakowanie ale alkohol jest nadal wyczuwalny, a smak nieco ostry.

Sampled from 0.75 l bottle. Slightly hazy, dark brownish amber with an off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, honey and some red fruits. Quite sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, molasses, red fruits and some vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly woody-dry finish. Medium to full body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Deep caramelly beginning. Grain, slightly sourish. Not too deep, woody hints, slightly red sourish in the aftertaste. Not too deep, malty round with not much bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle shared with Erzengel! A hazy dark orange brown beer with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of dark caramelish malt, nuts, toffee. Taste of dark red fruits, resins, caramel, dark malt.

Bottle. Misty amber colour. Tall off-white well-lacing head. Aroma: massive caramel, candy, hay, tea. Medium body. Sweet taste. Candy and fruit jam. Caramel. Tea. Low bitterness. Odd one.

Bottle at Craig's. Nose is soy sauce, chocolate. Palate is oxidised, chocolate, toffee,leather. Not impressed.
