33 cl bottle. A clear copper pour with a rocky, persistent, thick, off-white head. Aroma is sweet lemon, yeast, grass, earth, honey. Dry, slick, slow-sipping. Very bitter, herbal, long-lasting finish. Much better than the basic Martin's IPA.

hazy pale yellow colour, moderate sized white head; aroma of tropical fruity (mainly litchi and passion fruit and some pineapple, as well), tangerine, lemon zesty, some orange and coriander notes; taste is similar to the aroma with some hoppy bitterness and bread crusty-biscuity notes; good one

44cl can from Carrefour Market Cours St. Michel in Brussels. F: medium, white, quick gone. C: gold, crystal clear. A: peach. T: medium malty base, peach, bit herbal, some bready tones, herbal touch, some “bitterness”, bit like my favorite Gordon Xplosion yet too weak.

I found this 50 cl can at a small shop near the hotel in Brussels on our jaunt early last fall through the Netherlands and Belgium. Must drink what the locals drink. I am sampling out of a beer bar glass with a handle, seems appropriate. I tilt the can into the glass to see a traditional beer-looking body, clear medium gold, a hefty, steady head of arctic white foam that is fed by a healthy carbonation. The scent is stewed grain and cardboard, reel me in. The taste is unique, it has sweet corn, metal, alcohol, newspaper, wet hay and mean intentions. Damn, I am enjoying this more than I should. So, are there more like this?

Auburn with a frothy head. Caramel and plum aroma. Something faintly vinegary. Something is off, but I’m not sure if it’s an unclean tap or the beer. Moderate sweet. More off weirdness. Medium-bodied, mild carbonation. Boozy. No thanks.

50cl can from Cora in Brussels and I am really pleasured to catch this while still in Belgium. F: medium, white, average retention. C: gold, almost clear. A: watermelon, bubble-gum, peach. T: full malty base, watermelon bubble-gum, peach, some alcohol too, aroma is ok but taste is quite harsh yet not such disaster all together, bit harsh bitterness also, another crazy combo in this series, this could help escape before Vogons will destroy our planet.
