We started life back in 2012, focusing on developing our own British Style Cask Ales out of Country Durham based Brew House.
Back then we were known as Sonnet 43 back then (inspired by the Victorian poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning, who was born and raised in Coxhoe, County Durham, the village our brewery calls home).
Three years into our brewing, in 2015 we had doubled production year on year and expanded our team and range of ales, including the award winning Raven and Aurora.
Another three busy years of brewing our beloved Cask Ales and, we noticed a change in our palettes. Whilst, we were still chugging cask specials at a rate of knots, we were getting excited by some of the more hop-forward flavours from over the pond.
This is when we got in touch with the Texan, to come and develop the craft arm of the brewery.
Brewing ceased at the end of 2022.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers. Aroma of citrus, orange, grapefruit and grass. Taste is hoppy bitterness with zesty orange and lemon with a bit of a kick. Full bodies with limited carbonation. Very good.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of tropical fruits, pineapple, pine, mango and melon. Juicy, fruity taste mixed in with the grain leading to a sweet taste but bitter finish. Combo worked very well.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of dank hops, tropical fruit, orange, zest, mango and pine. Taste is quite thick and smooth but still goes down very well. Very good.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers. Aroma of blackberries, rhubarb, hint of pastry, vanilla and a bit of spice. Taste starts of sweet and then goes sour. Lovely sour finish. Very good.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers. Aroma of tropical fruit, pineapple, mango and vanilla ice cream. Milky, creamy texture with good body and does what the name says. Love pineapple, love milkshake and this is done very well to combine the two. Very nice.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers. Aroma of melon, citrus, passion fruit and orange. Taste is of the above and includes grapefruit. Very juicy with good body. Low carbonation. Very nice.
