But we are still a family with strong values. We still brew all our beers ourselves. We still use the original copper kettles. And we can guarantee our quality for at least another 150 years! We're headstrong. True craft brewers. And we're from Belgium!! These beers were not made in someone's garage as a hobby. For six generations, brewing is our family's passion. We do not follow hypes. Bottle, 25cl. A clear, golden beer topped by a dense, off-white finger-thick head. Sugary, fruity nose with some alcohol hints. Dry, medium body with grainy malts, sweetness and fruits. Bitter, grainy finish. A boring one indeed, but drinkable indeed. 100331

Bottle. It pours an almost clear body, quite fizzy, and golden in color. A dense, two-finger, off-white head sits on top, leaving lacings. Overripe apples and pears in the aroma, white sugar and a faint spice note too. The flavor has apples, white sugar, some spiced notes and a good bitterness. Full-bodied and slightly warming, finishing, warm, dry and bitter. A rather ordinary tripel, but it drinks easily. 100327

Bottle. A clear, almost golden beer topped by a small, white head. Corn-chips and fruits in the aroma and flavor. There’s also a sweet fruityness and some dusty cellar in the flavor. Medium body. Some bitterness shows up in the end. Super-boring but drinkable. 091223

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 2 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 3

Bottle. A dark red beer topped by a small pinkish head. The aroma has cheesedoodles initially, but when letting it rest a little bit, that luckily disappears. Lots of forest berries show up instead with blueberries the most evident. There’s also something undefined here, maybe reminiscent of black olives. Sweet berryish flavor, mostly blueberries, and a medium length finish with blueberries. Medium body, quite sticky but not in a sugary way, more like in an aspartam way. Overall, I’m not sure. It’s definately not a very good one, but there’s some interesting qualities about it after all. Don’t think I’ll revisit it though. 091223

Bottle. A clear, dark red beer topped by a dense, finger-thick pink head that lasts and leaves lacings. Very artificial on the nose, sweetness, cherry and almond. Some paint thinner too, but just a whiff. Sweet, cherry-flavored and a bit thin. Some paint thinner in the mouth too, and also some almond. Quite short finish, mostly cherry. A bit unclean, but sure drinkable, but I would prefer something to eat with it. 100424
