Bottle thanks to Leighton, shared at level 42. It pours dark brown to black with a small light tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, toasty, chocolate, coconut and light vanilla. The taste is smooth, roasted malt, toasty, earthy, wood ,sugary, alcohol boost, dark chocolate, coffee, baked goods and a touch of spice with a slick, boosty finish. Full body and fine carbonation. A do find it a touch rough around the edges, but not bad.

Bottle shared in London - picked up in a trade. Pours deep black-brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose has some ashy roast, burnt coffee, baking cocoa. Medium sweet flavour with more chocolate character, ash, baking cocoa, dried berries, bittersweet coffee. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Nicely balanced finish with more baking cocoa, a little scorched earth, coffee ice cream. Very enjoyable.

Draught @ Albion. Cloudy dark amber with very small frothy off-white head, faint cocoa aroma, medium carbonation, faintly sweet taste with alcohol undertones, an acidic streak and cocoa, thin body, longish acidic finish with alcohol aftertaste. Interesting brew but the alcohol bite is a bit too obvious.
