Aroma: complex, noticeable apples brandy and American oak, bold, moderately sweet, just a little bit of booze.
Taste: quite boozy, moderately sweet, caramel candies, a lot of apple brandy, spicy.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Near black with minimal beige head. Rye whiskey forward, very feint apple brandy and maple, nicely balanced barrel notes, typical MT base goodness, enjoyable.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black, almost no head. Nose is full of spicy rye barrels, gentle cinnamon, toasted almonds, and cocoa. Flavour is full of spicy rye barrels upfront, balanced by the piloncillo sugars, and a tiny touch of cinnamon—not really getting almonds or cocoa. Wonderful rye barrel character, with a silky smooth palate as usual for MT. Lovely.

Dark brown, inky. Deep umami on the nose, that rich barrel-aged soy sauce, rye barrels, fuck that is a fantastic aroma. Super rich body, molasses, that piloncillo really comes through, a bit of marzipan and vanilla. Very full body, rich sugars, complex and balanced. There's a light juiciness in the body, then more rye character at the very end with bitter dark sugars. Amazing.

650mL bottle. Pours nearly black with no head. Great dark, roasty base with loads of spicy rye barrels on the nose. Flavour has deep roasted malts, a marzipan-like almond character, warming spices, and a surprisingly gentle spicy rye barrel character. Very smooth on the palate. Integration is excellent and the barrel treatment is on point. Excellent.
