Aroma: amazing mix of chcocolate, coconut, vanilla, and American oak.
Taste: along the same Iines, moderately to highly sweet, a lot of coconut, chcocolate, and vanilla.
Overall: nice one.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Vanilla, marshmallow, touch of coconut, subtle bourbon and graham cracker in the background. Typical Modern Times barrelled beer goodness. Have to savour each one of these that are still kicking around.

On tap at Timestead, pours black with a tiny brown head. Nose is full of rich dark sugars, bourbon barrels, dark chocolate, and oak. Flavour is super rich, with intense bourbon barrels, huge sticky dark sugars, molasses, brown sugar, and caramel. Sticky, sweet but not cloying, with a nice fruitiness; endlessly complex. Beauty.

On tap at Modern Times - Encinitas, pours inky black, almost no head. Aroma is decadent, with deep bourbon barrels, succulent coconuts, moderate coffee presence, and sticky dark sugars. Flavour is absurdly complex and decadent, with truckloads of coconut, balanced by dark roast coffee, quite a lot of dark sugars, all wrapped up in a divine bourbon barrel character. Sublime incorporation of the coconut and coffee; sweeter than typical MT BA beers but kept in check. Absolutely superb.

On tap at Modern Times - Flavordome, pours black, almost no head. Aroma is complex as hell, with huge coconut, marshmallow, bourbon barrels, and dark sugars. Flavour is full of buttery butterscotch, bourbon, coconut galore, and marshmallow. Super coconuty, marshmallowy, and full of butterscotch. Ridiculously complex, pastrified, orgasmic delight.

Aroma is absurdly intense, with ridiculously complex and elegant bourbon barrels, light vanillin, oak, molasses, and dark sugars. Flavour is extremely rich, with intense bourbon, deep dark sugars, caramel, oak, vanilla, and booze. Wonderful depth, though maybe not actually at the level of refinement of some other MT stuff. Beauty.

On tap at Modern Times - Flavordome, pours a clear dark rosé colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is complex, with huge bugginess upfront and the raspberries taking a backseat, and gentle oak. Flavour is dry, tart and buggy, with super complex bugginess, oak, and a dry buggy finish. The wild yeast sure takes centre stage, with the raspberries accentuating. Wonderful.

Dark brown. On the nose, big malt, lots of bourbon. On the palate, oh yeah, lots of chocolate, bourbon, sticky syrups. Nice alcohol in the finish. Excellent.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black, with almost no head. Aroma is decadent, with big bourbon barrels, a hint of smokiness, molasses, and cocoa. Flavour is decadent and complex, with rich bourbon barrels, chocolatey molasses, and cocoa. Almost flat carb, silky smooth mouthfeel, finishing with complex bourbon and chocolatey sugars. Beauty.
