Description
The Budelse Brouwerij (Budels Brewery) is a family business that still values the traditions that have guided the brewery for centuries now. It's been at the very heart of the village of Budel in Brabant since 1870. Founded 150 years ago by Gerardus Arts as Brouwerij de Hoop (the Hope Brewery). Today, the fourth generation of the Arts family is at the helm and we are just as committed to the brewing as our ancestors.

donker bruin bier. Kruidige karamelsmaak weinig aroma herfstbokachtig. ondanks een abv van 7.5 toch heel licht.

Clear medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma roasted malts, caramel, brown sugar. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, some dark fruit, rye bread, with long duration. Aftertaste sweetbitter, earthy notes, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, a solid strong ale.

Bottle. Very clear colour, white foam disappears quickly. Sweet nose of honey with bitter notes. Sweet and bitter, easy drinkable. Not very impressive but not bad.

Deep brown with ruby highlights. Rocky off-white head. OK retention. The foam clutches at glass. Malty & yeasty aroma. Notes of dark fruit, brown bread, marmelade. Medium body. Oily. Tastes of toast, dark fruit, a bit of roastiness, a winy note, soft bitterness in ending. A good one
