Light yellow in colour, with almost no head and little carbonation. Initial skunk whiff floowed by corny malt. Sickly sweet mouthfeel with light hops. Watery body. LCBO, why bother bringing this in???

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a medium off-white head with average retention. Aroma is quite weak and only some shy malt can de detected. Taste is also quite bland with some lightly roasted malt and a watery finish. I had macro beer that had more taste then this. Doesn’t augur too well for the rest of this six-pack sampler.

An amber beer with a beutiful light brown lasting head. The aroma is yeasty combined with notes of wood as well as some spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries, wood, caramel, and prunes - the flavor is somewhat overripe. The body is surpriseingly thin for a 6.5% ABV beer.

An orange beer with a fine head. The aroma is hoppy sweet. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of grass and hopoil. An OK beer.

Extremely clear yellow colour; little head gone in seconds, leaving but a few bubbles - not inspiring. Rather than honey, smell like "honingbollen", a kind of sweets promoted as "good for the chest". Very definitely this, quite sweet. Taste is not VERY sweet - it's just too watery for that! Just a little sweetness, and nothing, absolutely nothing else. Mouthfeel is the essence of wateriness. Almdudler seems a "Quadruple" compared to this. Stand-up comedians make a living from giving off on organic stuff. What inspired Budels to make it that easy for them?

(Drank this draught under the designation V.S.O.B. 2002 - whatever that stands for) Dark chestnut, opaque; thcik cream-coloured head. hoppy, drak malts, candi sugar and molasses in the nose. taste gives first an upcoming bitter-hop flavour. Then butterscotch intervenes. Damn. I somehow get a feeling/flavour of purée de marrons (chestnut flour cream). medium to heavy bodied. Nice, sweet-syrupy but agreable beer. Shame about the diacetyl.

A yellow beer with a fine white head. The aroma is of malt and honey. And so is the flavor. The body is thin.

Clear redbrown color, short creamy frothy head. Aroma is caramel malty, bit fruity. Bit roasted, fruity taste. Sweet sticky palate. Ruby color, short dying head. Aroma of amber malts, caramel and sugar cane. Taste is sweet malty, roasted caramel. Sticky sirupy body, with a too sweet bitter palate, which lasts quite long.

Sample is a bit aged (BBd 2002) Beautiful chestnut colour, clear. Thick creamy, cream-coloured head, lacey dissipating. Nose of cookies, (caramel) malt, some port, and hops. Bitterish taste, less from hops than from burnt malts. Quite sweetish, but watery underbuild. Perfumed and even soapy palate. Watery, thinnish mouthfeel, empty, sweetish aftertaste. Another one that starts in heaven only to smack painfully down on earth when tasted. Pity.
