Description
The Budelse Brouwerij (Budels Brewery) is a family business that still values the traditions that have guided the brewery for centuries now. It's been at the very heart of the village of Budel in Brabant since 1870. Founded 150 years ago by Gerardus Arts as Brouwerij de Hoop (the Hope Brewery). Today, the fourth generation of the Arts family is at the helm and we are just as committed to the brewing as our ancestors.

Bottle, light golden, quite hoppy beer, a reasonable lager that seems to have transfered to bottle better than expected having read the keg reviews below.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is honey and hay. Flavour is honey, hay and slight grassy notes. Indeed a honeyish beer, but not in an exciting way. Very watery also. Drink while fridge cold, as it gets worse when getting warmer.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear golden, minimal head. Aroma of stale boiled vegetables that slowly fades to grass as the beer warms. Sweet with clean, hard moutfeel wit notes of metal, butter and paper. Lightly salty finish with vague bitterness. Could sadly have been mistaken for a Grolsch, at least before it warms up and reveals some grassy hops.

Bottled. Clear, deep golden beer with a nice off-white head. Fruity aroma, mostly grapefruit, with malt and notes of tea, hops and caramel. Sweet flavor with grapefruit, malt, tea-notes, beef-stock, caramel and some spices. Medium to full body and a short, sweet finish with fruits, malt and some alcohol. (061111)

Bottle (greetings from bierkoning): Clear, golden coloured, quickly vanishing foamy layer; grainy-bready nose with a light alcoholic touch; moderate sweet, slightly sourish flavour, medium bodied, but empty MF ; a bit of alcohol in the sweet-grainy finish. Not a really necessary brew...........

Hazy amber color. Light fruity caramel aroma. Caramel and some sweet malt taste, but the quality of the yeast is not very good. Boring?

An orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet fruity with a somewhat dusty hop note. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit - too me cloying strong, leading to an end with a dusty hop note.
