Description
The Budelse Brouwerij (Budels Brewery) is a family business that still values the traditions that have guided the brewery for centuries now. It's been at the very heart of the village of Budel in Brabant since 1870. Founded 150 years ago by Gerardus Arts as Brouwerij de Hoop (the Hope Brewery). Today, the fourth generation of the Arts family is at the helm and we are just as committed to the brewing as our ancestors.

Cask at Wetherspoons, Ashford, Kent. Amber brown colour. Off white lasting head, fruity malt on nose with some resiny hops. Slightly creamy in mouth, malty caramel and bitter dry finish which is slightly spicy. I liked it 3.9/5.0 Re-rate - a little soapy, but still very drinkable

Tap, Kafe Belgie, Utrecht. Clear golden color, medium white head. Aroma smelled of chocolat malts actually, if i would close my eyes, i would almost think it was a double. Also hop in it, some grain. Taste is also quite smooth, decently bitter and not as herbal as some other springbocks. Quite watery mouthfeel however. Palate was a bit thin.

A pale yellow beer with a small disappearing white head. The aorma is sweet malty with some hoppy notes - and so is the flavor.

Bright bronze colour. Light caramel & toast aroma. Toasty, slightly earthy, woody palate. Evenly balanced but picks up sweetness towards the finish.

Light gold colour. Light herbal/fruity hop aroma with bready malts underneath. Flavour is moderately light, leaning towards sweetness, with an even balance between herbal hops and bready malts.

Pale straw colour with no head. Straw-like aroma with light fruity (pear, berry) notes, and slight ethanol. Light, vague honey notes, hints of white bread. Quick, watery finish. Inoffensive.

Copper colour with soft carbonation. Fruity, metallic aroma. Toasty, fruity character that walks a neutral line. A little toastiness but also a little oxidation. A Palmish beer of no particular distinction.

Golden colour. Looks a little flat. Aroma has light malt and a slight fruity note (raspberry). Dry, with slight bready notes. The dryness is a combination of slightly woody hops and alcohol that is only barely balanced.

Bottle: Poured an extremely pale yellow beer with no head or carbonation. There is no aroma whatsoever and this taste like sweetened water. This only good feeling out of this is that I’m now finish with my six pack sampler from the Budels brewery and it seems like I kept the worst one for the end.
