Description
The Budelse Brouwerij (Budels Brewery) is a family business that still values the traditions that have guided the brewery for centuries now. It's been at the very heart of the village of Budel in Brabant since 1870. Founded 150 years ago by Gerardus Arts as Brouwerij de Hoop (the Hope Brewery). Today, the fourth generation of the Arts family is at the helm and we are just as committed to the brewing as our ancestors.

Bottle (delivered by bierkoning !): Deep golden coloured, thin, quickly diminishing head; malty, caramelly, slightly alcoholic nose; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet-malty finish with a tinge of honey, balanced by some delicate bitterness. A robust, not too sweet Bock..............

(bottle from bierkoning) Clear golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Sweet malty, slightly toasted and citrusy aroma. Sweet flavour, medium carbonated, slim mouthfeel. Malty tasted with dense toasty notes; slightly bitter, low hopped finish. Decent pale Bock.

Bottle. Malty aroma. Very dark brown colour. Very small, light brown head. Swet, malty flavour, very chocolaty. Thick mouthfeel and low carbonation. The bitterness reminds me of bitter chocolate.

Bottled. Reddish amber colour, mediumsized off white foamy head, laving. Fruits, cocos, caramel and coffee in aroma. Flavour is light roasted malts with some bitter hops and fruits. Also alcohol noteable in flavour, especially the finish. Aftertaste is sweet alcohol and old black coffee.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma fruity and hoppy with diacetylic hints. Flavour the same. Quite one-dimensional though, so no bonus points for anything.

Copper brown, small creamy off-white head. Grassy, malty aroma. Flavor is also kind of herbal grassy, some sweetness. Quite typical Budels product - "bulk ale".

A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with a slight acidic note too. The flavor is sweet again with a slight acidity, but also with strong notes of cinnamon.

(Bottle 30 cl) Pours a beautiful clear light brown with a small, brownish head. Malty, sweetish aroma. Light body with notes of roasted malt and caramel - not unlike a Danish "hvidtøl". Sweetish, but not cloying. 120206
