Description
The Budelse Brouwerij (Budels Brewery) is a family business that still values the traditions that have guided the brewery for centuries now. It's been at the very heart of the village of Budel in Brabant since 1870. Founded 150 years ago by Gerardus Arts as Brouwerij de Hoop (the Hope Brewery). Today, the fourth generation of the Arts family is at the helm and we are just as committed to the brewing as our ancestors.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow beer with almost no carbonation or head. Aroma is weak, almost like water. Taste of bad corn with watery feeling covering everything else. Another terribly bad beer from this brewery. Why bother?

A clear amber beer with a nice orange head. The aroma is sweet spicy and the flavor sweet malty with notes of oranges on a dry background.

Bottle: Poured a light dark beer with an average head with very little retention. Aroma is a bit weak with some malt being noticeable. Taste is different then some previous Alt I tried before and includes some roastiness and some bitterness at the ends. There is an overall watery feeling that leave a disappointing taste in my mouth which is deceiving since this one had promises as opposed to other Budels products.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a below medium head with very little retention. Aroma is quite weak with only some malt being noticeable. Taste is quite light with some malt noticeable and a creamy feeling near the ends. I have hard time to believe they even try to do a Belgian Ale with this but anyway this is plain bad for the style.

Orange amber ale with a thick off-white head, collapsing quickly. Sweet malt and whiff of fruity wet dog. Roasted malts, caramel, with sustained nuttyness, and like Greg said, sweetness in the middle of tasting. Oily mouthfeel. This is supposed to be Belgian style???

Amber ale with a thick off white head. Sweet and perfumey aroma, with notes of apples and marmelade. Sweet malt and fruity taste with light metallic notes in aftertaste. More akin to a malt liquor as beer warms up.

Golden yellow beer with thick creamy white head. Very sweet aroma, light spices and perfumey. Sweet cloying malt, unpleasant, almost like a malt liquor! The Dutch dont have an high opinion of their flemmish brethrens!

Average amber ale with thin white head. Sweet malty aroma with some vanilla notes. Sweet malty beer, with a touch of nuts, and light bitter finish. SOme oxidation notes. Still, not as bland as its 2 mainstream siblings (Pils and Honey)

Another pale yellow beer with thin white head. Sweet waroma but this isnt honey, honey! Some cardboard notes. Like the pils with more sickly sweet...stuff in it. I admit the honey comes out more in mouth but darned this is one boring beer. Again, why bother!
