Description
The Budelse Brouwerij (Budels Brewery) is a family business that still values the traditions that have guided the brewery for centuries now. It's been at the very heart of the village of Budel in Brabant since 1870. Founded 150 years ago by Gerardus Arts as Brouwerij de Hoop (the Hope Brewery). Today, the fourth generation of the Arts family is at the helm and we are just as committed to the brewing as our ancestors.

33cl bottle from Tesco. Pale gold lager with thin white head. Grassy vegetal aroma. Interesting lager. Some cucumber. It’s an alright lager, but a bit too vegetal for me.

Bottled(300ml). -In De Wildeman.
Pours a pale cooper colour with small airy white head and sweet fruity and hay nose. Malty, slight hoppy and caramel aroma with herbal and weak spicy notes. Dry watery finish. Very disappointing beer for the end of my De Wildeman beer session.

Dark reddish/brown coloured, medium sized tan head, caramel nose. Light roasted malt, burnt sugar and caramel aroma with notes of fruit and dry herbs. Pleasant warming finish. Very good beer, much better than Alt.

(Bottle 30 cl) Courtesy of MiP. Clear, deep golden with tiny impurities and a dense, white head. Sweetish, very malty with some alcohol in the nose. Medium body with sweet, clean malts and a dry, lightly hoppy finish. A bit tired though. 230807

Bottle, 6%. Fruity, vinous aroma. Clear golden colour. Very small white head, slightly sparkling. The flavour starts off a little fruity and chalky. Drying out a little towards the end. Nice enough, but not too flavourful considering its ABV.

Small white head; hazy orange body. Mealy sharpish citric wheaty aroma. Full, deep spicy wheaty taste with citric notes. Sweetish, toffee notes. Broad, filling mouthfeel. Dry, lemony aftertaste. A very good wit. (0.4l draft at Oliver Twist.)

330 ml bottle. Yellow with moderate carbonation and slight white head. Aroma of pleasant floral hops followed by some muted herb flavours and a sweet finish which was a bit overpowering given that what came before was rather subtle. Rates above most Euro lagers, but doesn’t really come together.
