Can from Utobeer, Borough Market. Black pour with a tan head. Nose is cappuccino, chocolate fudge, caramel, brown sugar. Taste is chocolate pudding, lots of fudge, creamy coffee, raisin. Quite a bitter backnote, lingers on the palate somewhat.

On tap at Hamilton Tap & Grill. Hazy orange gold color. Large creamy beige head leaves great lacing. Robust aroma of stone fruits, citrus and pine. Flavor follows nose. Notes of lemon, grapefruit, peach, pears and resiny pine. Quite complex. Great balance and flavor. Well done.

16oz can pours a murky burnt yellow with a huge cap of white head. Nose has malt and wheat and dried grass and herbs and citrus peel. Feels a bit old in the mouth, malt and wheat lead, very pithy, soapy too. Full bodied, bitter, starchy finish. 7 4 7 3 12

Very hazy deep golden, orange and strong straw coloured body with a three centimetre tall deep tan head that covers the 90 per cent opaque body nicely. Aroma of oranges, dry malt, some light pepper and a heavy dose of sugars in the nose. Full-bodied; Nice orangey and slightly grassy kick at first with a good level of wheatie and malt notes showing right behind and pushing through a good sweet backbone that isn't cloying, and tasting like honey and caster sugar. Aftertaste shows a surprisingly nice balance of malt, hops, alcohol and sugars with a lot of the alcohol hidden here, but the orangey, malty and sweet notes are here, without any real bitterness. Overall, a very nice well-balanced and soft IPA that really doesn't feel of Imperial Status, which is surprising given the high ABV, but this tastes closer (or even less) than 8,0 per cent and while this isn't bitter from the hops, it does show some. A very nice beer - great for those who like smoother, wheatier IPAs with a ton of alcohol - I'll look for more from this brewery when I get back to New Jersey! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from The Beer Cave @ Bob's Sunoco in Callaway, Maryland on 10-May-2022 for US$5,73, sampled at my house here in Washington on 05-June-2022.

Strong coffee, sumac, wormwood nose. Clear garnet brown, medium tan head. Coffee, wood. Medium body, soft creamy mouthfeel. Not my type of coffee at all, but the beer is very well done.
