Description
Our brewery is made up of over 300 team members, that proudly give their best to serve you, our valued consumers, with the best beer they possibly can.

Just like the vast diversity in cultures, languages, and regions that represent Ethiopia, Habesha Breweries reflects all Ethiopians. Our people illustrate the beauty and rich diversity that one can find in Ethiopia.

Our team is working closely together with local farmers. We assist them in professionalizing their business, helping them to grow better quality barley. Their better quality seeds yield up to 30% higher profits, whilst our brewery guarantees strong demand for their produce.

Our beer is brewed from Ethiopia’s best water, directly sourced from the highland grounds of Debre Birhan, there where our proud and passionate people transform prime quality yeast, barley malt and hops into our beloved beer.

Note: Although the above description is interesting, many of their beers are brewed in Holland.

Fles gekregen van Benzai, gedeeld door Inoven. Het is een donker goudgeel bier met een dunne schuimkraag wat snel weg trekt. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is moutig en een beetje metaalachtig.

Bottle. Color: Clear golden, white head. Taste: Malty, hay, moderate sweet and moderate hopbitterness. Hints of cardboard. Thin body, average carbonation. Bought for the country tick, but appears to have been brewed by Bavaria in The Netherlands. No more than logical that it just tastes like a Dutch cheap pilsener brand. Funny that the overall rating of this beer is higher than the rating of Bavaria pilsener...

F: big, white, average to poor retention. C: gold, clear. A: malty, bready, bit grassy, bit caramel. T: malty, light caramel, hint of biscuits, bit bready, medium body and carbonation, not very bad, on the can is written brewed and packed in Holland Bavaria N.V. so apparently contract beer before they will move production to Ethiopia, 33cl can 5% from Ethiopian Airlines flight.
