Description
Outer Range Brewing is a community-driven microbrewery in the small mountain town of Frisco, Colorado. Co-founder and Head Brewer Lee Cleghorn’s love of craft beer began when he lived in Belgium as a teenager, where the first beers he ever drank were world-class Belgian ales. That background has served as inspiration for his IPAs, which showcase the ester profile of these traditionally hop-forward beers. A graduate of the American Brewers Guild Brewing Science and Engineering school in Vermont, Lee runs Outer Range with his wife and co-founder Emily, who is the Chief Marketing Officer and leads the brewery’s branding, marketing, and sales efforts. They met while homebrewing beer together ten years ago, and today, brew for and with a passionate community who lives at the intersection of craft beer and the outdoor mountain lifestyle.

slightly golden color. Big frothy white head. Massive overripe mangos, big tropical fruits. Medium bitterness fairly dank. Noticeably not too boozy for style. Very big. Hard to nail a 10% beer but it does a good job

Thanks Sam for sharing! Taster showing very pale straw with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows moderately intense clean notes of NE style malt and light lemon. The palate is light bodied and lightly carbonated. Moderately sweet with a light malt backbone. Strange bitterness on the finish and moderately alcoholic spiciness.

On tap at First Draft. Pours a hazy, straw color, with a small, white head. The aroma is hay, apricot, black pepper, papaya, and resin. Sweet and juicy, with a crisp bitterness. Light to medium body, quite acidic, and clean. This is an interesting and refreshing pale ale.

Thanks Sam for sharing the can! Taster showing very pale straw with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows pronounced notes of papaya, cannabis, pineapple, pine, and NE style malt. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Extremely papaya forward with pine in the background and moderately intense notes of melon with light mint and balanced bitterness on the finish.

16oz can pours a pulpy lemon yellow with some creamy, white head. Nose is nice, creamy, honey comb, orange blossom, pineapple smoothie, melon, perfume. Flavor has some lemon and orange bitterness, raw tropical fruits, sweet honey, less grist than I thought. Creamy finish with medium bitterness.

Can found at my local Whole Foods, which is the first place so far I’ve found OR beer outside of the brewery - interesting - hazy gold pour - soft texture - flavor is gently tart up front - light herbal spiciness settles in after - a bit of melon and citrus - lightly savory finish - it’s pretty solid.
