Description

Small cream-coloured rim over light golden-brown beer. Sweetish, bready nose. Notes of chocolate, cornflakes, demure aromas. Slightly bittery, almost roasted flavour. Mineral, dark malts, whiff of H²S, peanuts. Quite slick, at least medium bodied, good carbonation. Average. Txs to Stef!

Draft at Locus Publicus, Rotterdam. Poured a clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, aromatic. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, smooth, mineral, aromatic, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Unusual flavours. Tasty. Loved the bitterness.

Bottle, 8.0%. Good rough malt aroma, hint of fresh yeast, paper, floral hops. Cloudy dark golden colour. Small stable frothy white head. The flavour has a distinct bitterness and a spicy hop note, clearly the Hallertauer. Ok malty, and not as light-bodied as many other tripels, but good.
