Draft at The Ginger Man, NYC. Hazy yellow, no head. Aroma and flavors of tart fruit, lemon, funk, spice. Okay.

Wood Fermented Pale Ae from Catskill Brewery

Draught @ Malt & Mold. Hazy pale yellow with very small frothy whitish head, acidic aroma, high carbonation, tart taste, thin body, long tart finish. The wood fermentation has not left any special flavor.

Draught @ Albion. Hazy orange with small foamy off-white head, citrus peel aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter citrus peel-pineapple taste, thin body, long finish. Decent DIPA.

Draught @ Malt & Mold. Slightly cloudy dark amber-copper with very small frothy whitish head, faint caramel malt aroma, high carbonation, mildly bitter caramel malt taste, smooth body, longish caramel-malt finish. Good marzen.

Draught @ Albion. Clear golden with small frothy whitish head, faint citrus aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter malty taste with citrus flavor, thin body, medium finish. Decent, nothing special.

Draught. Hazy dull yellow with very small frothy off-white head that’s gone fast, funky aroma, low carbonation, lightly bitter earthy taste, thin watery body, medium finish. The aging doesn’t seem to benefit the product.

A hazed blonde saison with no head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with light acidity, light curacao, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity Saison with a light Brett notes, light curacao, nice and smooth. On tap at Lupulo. 7-3-8-3-14

Draught @ Whole Foods - Gowanus. Hazy yellow with small frothy off-white head, very faint acidic aroma, high carbonation, lightly bitter lemon taste, thin body, medium finish. An easy drinking beer.

A restaurant: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is citrus plus pine. Taste is very basic IPA. Nothing bad but nothing special in this either. Take it or leave it.

Bottle at home watching a recent bit of Nic Cage tom foolery. Grabbed this from brewery pricey. Pours muddled brownish red. Lovely nose of rich cherry and wood. Tastes of wet wood, dark cherry, berry, light tobacco, red wine. Just right amount of tartness. Lovely stuff
