Can. Mildly hazy orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, a modest dryness, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, sweet enough but with a whisper of grain. Hops being light nibbly hop spice, crisp pine and a good juicy tropical fruits and citrus. Light hop spicy finish. A very light and crushable dipa, would be superb if not for that mild grainy element to the malts. If memory serves, and frankly it often lets me down, I don't think this is the first time I have had said something similar about a Barrier beer. Good shit, just not quite Premiership.

[ As Barrier Bulkhead - India Red Ale ].
ABV: 6.4%. Clear medium red amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, wood, berry touch, moderate hoppy, pine, spruce, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, pine, spruce, woody hops, marmalade touch, licorice hops touch, medium dry to dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Love the coffee and oak aging. It meshes together well. But that sense it is light simple and one dimensional. Beertemple

Sample (thanks omhper!). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is a bit popcorn with some sweet floral and wooden tones as well as some slight pine and resin to it. Flavour is resin, pine, wood and some biscuity and toasted caramel malty tones with a nice hayish and grassy bitterness in the finish.

Can from Systembolaget. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are bitter hops, caramel, malt, little nuts and has a nice bitter finish.

Brunrød klar med beige skum. Lukter barnål, syltetøy og karamell. Middels fylde og bitterhet. Smaker barnål, karamell, noe trevirke og syltetøy.

Can 35,5 cl. Pours a clear, nutty brown with a small, beige head. Greasy, resiny hop aroma. Medium body, sweet crystal malts and piney, greasy hops leading to a bitter finish. 260424

Can 47,3 cl. Pours yellow with a slight haze and a small, white head. Spicy hop aroma with a tint of lemongrass. Medium body, with a slight, initial malty sweetness which quickly vaporizes and turns into a dry and almost astringent grapefruit note. An interesting Modern Lager - and should be abeled as an IPL. 260424
