Deep ruby and almost brown coloured body with a thinnish, single to at most two centimetre tall tan head that fades pretty quickly and is quite large-bubbled. Aroma of nuts, some earthy and rustic malts along with a good deal of caramelised sugars and toffee with a deeper English hop note here, but very malty and nutty in the nose. Medium-bodied; Pretty strong caramelised sugar and toffee flavours show at first with a dash of molasses and grains from the malt, but relatively smooth and only offering a glimse of the European hops with low alpha acids. Aftertaste shows some nuts, a good deal of malt and a dash of flowers here, but the crisp hops do make a showing towards the end, but they end up being a bit drier and showing some actual bitterness here, in a good way. Overall, a pretty nice, relatively complex and robust, malt-forward (but not forgetting the hops) IPA that shows a good caramelised sugar and toasty flavour, but is still hoppy and propped up by the malts. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (NoMad, 28th Street), New York on 02-December-2022 for US$3,99 sampled on the streets of New York with my family at Christmastime on 03-December-2022.

Very hazy, straw yellow coloured body with a light golden glow and a thinnish, pure white head, about a single centimetre tall. Aroma of crisp grassy hops with some light bitterness along with a touch of citrus fruit notes and a dash of flowers here as well. Medium-bodied; Crisp grassy and very grapefruity notes dominate with a good bitterness and a touch of flowers here to couple with the very light honey-based sweetness. Aftertaste shows some light malt components with a dash of biscuity notes along with some smoother wheat flavours and a lot of bitterness from grapefruit peel and a light hit of oranges, and some mellow sugars on the end. Overall, a very nice, crisp and quite sweet IPA with some smooth bitterness from the hops, but balanced quite well and not showing any Imperial Status at all. Nice to sample, especially local and super fresh, with a very nice label, showing some retro graphics from video games. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bryant Park, 42nd Street), New York on 02-December-2022 for US$5,99 sampled while walking the streets of New York at Christmastime with my family on 02-December-2022.

Nectarine and citrus. Hazy orange yellow pour without much head. Decent balance here, though not a ton of complexity. Tart finish. Tap at brewery.
