It what it says it is. I am a fan of their regular mild although the addition of vanilla beans kinds defeats the mild purpose. Nice palate. Dark pour mild flavors and pleasant vanilla bean without being too sweet or ruining the mild aspect.

Draft. Cloudy orange color with a thin white head and mid-heavy, spotty lacing. Wheat and spice in the nose, coriander, citrus zest, a bit of pepper. Spice forward flavor, mid-sweet. Clean feel. Medium body. Average carbonation.

At the brewery: Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is coriander, fruit, and some lemon. Taste is spicy and fortunately not at all sweet. Some spicy aftertaste. Nice witbier.

At the brewery: Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma is malty and quite nutty. Very light body. Taste is similarly nutty. Low amount of roast and bitterness. Nutty aftertaste. Good mild ale.

At the brewery: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is citrus fruits, flowers, and some malt. Taste, as the aroma would imply, is very, very juicy. Bitterness is rather low for an IPA. Some aftertaste. Not bad, but very mild, which seems to be in keeping with the trends now.

At the brewery: Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is rye malt for the most part. Not too much of that traditional lager smell up in there either. Very smooth. Low bitterness. Not bad, but forgettable.

At the brewery: Pours brown with a light beige head. Aroma is malty, caramel, and a bit of booze. Taste is not too sweet. Light bit of hop bitterness. Nice thick maltiness. This wasn’t too sweet as are many ales of this style. I liked that it was restrained, but still had some oomph.

At the brewery: Pours yellow with a white head. Aroma is bready with a bit of hops. Lightly bitter taste. Lingering aftertaste actually, perhaps surprisngly so. Small hints of fruitiness. Nice and balanced. A pleasant ale.

Draught @ Albion. Inky black with small foamy tan head, roasted malt aroma, low carbonation, thin body, burst of roasted malt taste that disappears fast, abrupt finish with a little burnt aftertaste. An easy drink to consume.

Artichoke Pizza, NYC: Yeah, this is not where I would have expected to get my first sample of Flagship, but they are Italian, so I guess they have some Staten Island pride. Anyway, it pours amber with a whitish head. Aroma is pine and citrus. Pretty good. Nice and bitter taste. Well balanced. This isn’t breaking any new ground but it seemed pretty solid to me
