750 ml bottle shared by jcwattsrugger, thanks for the chance John! The brew provides a deep amber color with slow dying head in a snifter. Aroma is a nice mellow bourbon, vanilla and mild citrus undertone.

Flavor has BIG oak character, earthy malts, toasted grain, mild vanilla and mild subtle bourbon. No idea on the ABV but it is rather smooth to sip. Oak lingering in the finish. Slight warming after the sip. Nice sipper.

Just found notes on this one when my wife and I went to Albany.
The appearance was a soft golden hazy color with a decent transparency about it. The bar pour yielded a small white head with a thin ring coating the top of the glass.
The smell had some light orange and a little lemon.
The taste took those flavors and added a decent wheat kick to it.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light and was pretty sessionable.
Overall, in my opinion, it went great with the bacon cheeseburger I had that day.

Location: Sampled at TapNY, 4/26/14

Aroma: The aroma is a nice mix of the IPA hops and the wood/bourbon
Appearance: It pours a murky orangish-red color with a beige head and decent lace
Flavor: The flavor, much like the nose, balances the IPA and barrel flavors nicely
Palate: The body is medium-plus, some light heat, and a clean, dry finish
Overall Impression: I enjoyed this beer. It's easy for barrel aging an IPA to come out badly, but that is not the case here. This one works pretty nicely.
