Appearance: jet black in the glass with a quarter finger's worth of khaki foamy head which once dissipated didn't leave any lace
Aroma: sweet camp-like smoke, some coffee roastiness; dried dark fruits; slight earthiness, dark chocolate bitterness and a little bit of a sweet wafery malt backbone
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet quality initially with an ample bittering tone underneath and a lighter note of roastiness; finishes dark fruity dry with some smoke and dark chocolate bitterness
Texture: medium bodied; sessionable; good smoothness with a slight bitterness in there
Overall: seemed kinda bigger than expected for what the brewer was calling an "English porter," still, I do believe I would return to this as it was well brewed.

Appearance: dark yellow-ed cardboard cloudiness with a bar pour's kind of slim white frothy head which dissipated and left some light messy lace
Aroma: semi-sweet peachy hop notes with some light floral hop tones and freshly cut grass; light clean malts in the backbone
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to semi-bitter to slightly bittersweet quality; finishes leaning into some peachy hop notes with a light floral dry note
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness along the tongue and nothing really there distracting; carb was low but still felt right
Overall: as far as I know it was a pretty nicely done New Zealand pale ale that I would return to if I could.

Reviewed from notes. Had twice, the following is mostly based on the first time having:
Both times in a nonic glass.
Appearance: burnt orange haziness with a quarter finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet mixed citrusy hop tones with a little bit of pine and pineapple hop tones; light clean malts
Flavor: copies the aromas fairly nice in a sweet to bittersweet sort of manner; finishes citrusy with a touch of pineapple and a soft little nick of bitterness
Texture: light to medium bodied, fairly sessionable; good smoothness - nothing distracting; good low carb and low hop bitterness for the most part
Overall: no complaints from me and I would return to this if I could.

Aroma: slightly danky pine to apricot-like hop tones with a light biscuity malt backbone
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet danky to a bittersweet fruity hop dankiness; finishes piney and apricot-like with a touch of danky and dry tones
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness but an edge of dry bitterness rolling in slightly
Overall: pretty nicely done IPA that almost seemed like it was somewhat West coast-like. Hmmmm...

Aroma: dark chocolate bitterness, slight coffee roastiness and some piney hops
Flavor: seems to mesh the prior noted aromas to a medley of sweet to roasty to piney hop bitter; finishes the same way
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; some smoothness to this and a touch of some bitterness nicking the tongue a bit
Overall: if I didn't know any better, this seemed like a scaled down version of a "black IPA" but hey, who's arguing this was well brewed.

Appearance: dark ruddy amber/almost brown color with a super thin rim of white frothy head which dissipated subtly and left a nice coating of lace sticking to the sides
Aroma: nice sweet dark fruits, sweet leather, touch of vanilla, toasted sweet bready tones and a little bit of caramelized brown sugar
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet malty dry breadiness; finishes semi-dry, toasty and some booziness
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper; some dry smoothness but nice as I believe that helped with this beer not becoming cloying
Overall: I say a pretty nicely done English barleywine I wish I could have again.

Poured into a tulip.

Aroma: some black coffee - pretty roasty, dark bread, slight apple notes; dark chocolate, super slight caramel and a little bit of earthiness
Flavor: again with the black coffee roastiness then more of bready chocolatey sweetness with a touch of the caramel; finishes the same way with a little bit of dryness
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper; good smoothness but lingering dryness across the tongue; seemed like a good carb level
Overall: probably one of the most coffee forward Doppelbocks I've ever had which I'm not exactly sure if that was intentional by the brewer or not on top of it - it did seem odd but not necessarily "off" so I think I could bang this one again if ever given the chance.

Flavor: meshes mostly the raspberry and the wheat together for a fine sweet quality; finishes raspberry sweet forward with a touch of tart
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; touch of smoothness but a stain of tart nicking the tongue ever so slightly

Appearance: black in the pour and black in the glass with a two and a half fingers of khaki foamy head which took it's time to dissipate and once it did slight lace stuck to the sides of the glass
Aroma: big sweet thick milk chocolate with roasty coffee beans, slight vanilla underneath
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to roasty quality; finishes leaning into the milk chocolate and slight coffee bitterness
Texture: medium bodied; great sipper; some smoothness; good carb level
Overall: very worthy of returning to if ever possible.
