On tap at Alkimikis / Bierhaus, Riga.
Pours a cloudy vivid orange-red. Not much nose, just a general nuttiness. N the mouth there is an initial sweerness, like barley-sugar sweets, then broadening out to almonds, walnuts and liquorice. Finish very reminiscent of cough mixture. Little carbonation, and feels a very “thin” beer, I was expecting something more cloying.

Bottle from Alus Pasaule, Riga Chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Pours almost jet black with a very vigorous head. Soon dissipates, but with good lacing. Moutfeel has both chocolate and chilli in moderate to strong proportions. Finish dominated by the chilli.

Draft glass @ Walters & Grapa. Orange, small white head. Nose is orange peel, candy, bitter peel, yoghurt. Bit too yoghurt milky, caramel, soggy, too yoghurt, low hop, soggy. Weak IPA for sure.

Draft glass @ Walters & Grapa. Black, small mocha head. Nose is chocolate, umami, soy sauce. Thick basic sweet chocolate, mocha, caramel, basic nice, really big chilli that builds. Decent body. Tasty enough.
