Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin layer of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Sly stringy lace.
The aroma had a nice roasty to sweet coffee to cocoa bean profile with a low amount of bitterness.
The flavor balances nicely between the roast and the sweet. Adds a sly earthiness to the flavor. Sly roasty aftertaste with finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Roastiness and some bitterness hits my tongue appropriately.
Overall, pretty good porter that I could have again.

The aroma blends some cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg to some pumpkin sweetness.
The flavor balances roughly between previously said aromas. Sly crisp sweet spicy to pumpkin aftertaste with a quick finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Crisp sweetness hardens some spice to hit my tongue.
Overall, it’s a pretty good pumpkin ale. I could see myself having it again.

The appearance was a dark rugged amber color with a finger’s worth of foamy white head that dissipated at a nice pace. Slow moderate lace.
The aroma takes on a blend of caramel and toffee malts to blend with some citrus bitter hops.
The flavor balances nicely between the citrusy bitter hops to the sweetness of the malts. Light blended aftertaste with finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Low carbonation feels good, nice and low.
Overall, good amber ale that I would come back to.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy dark brown head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was chocolate syrup, toasty malts and bitter floral hops. The flavor was bitter, dry and roasty with a hint of coffee and wood. Long finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and light citrusy. Toasted, bitter and slight herbal. Dry and bitter, herbal. Dry, grassy and bitter finish.

From tap. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malt and light breadish. Bitter, caramelish and toasted. Bitter, breadish and caramelish into the finish.

Draft at Cricket Hill, 8/29/2015. Orange beer with an off-white head. Decent aroma and flavor or wheat, yeast, spice / coriander, and some fruit. Decent mouthfeel, and a touch of booze comes through. Decent overall, but not much more than that for me.

Tons of peppery spice here. The big hop presence and the equally large malty backbone from the Jersey Devil are quite subdued compared to where they are in the original. I actually quite enjoyed the flavor, but as I got onto the 3rd ounce or so I realized that having more than 4-5 ounces of this beer could lead to a diminished enjoyment level. Nice pepper beer though.

Location: Growler from the brewery, 9/4/15, Happy Long Weekend!
Aroma: The nose aroma is a mix of caramel malts, with some resiny and tropical hop notes
Appearance: A darker reddish beer with a lasting, foamy beige colored head and strong lacing
Flavor: Flavor is fairly balanced as well with a strong hoppy bitterness and a big malt backbone
Palate: The body is medium-plus, smooth and creamy on the mouth, with a long, dry finish
Overall Impression: Really nice, smooth, highly drinkable Imperial Red. One of those beers where my score changed (went up) from the sampling at the brewery to the full size drink from thee growler. The more I drink of this one, the more I enjoy it. Very drinkable for a beer of this size. Quite dry, but balanced by a bit malty presence. Really quite well done.
