Can from the brewery drunk 8/17/23. Hazy/cloudy raspberry. Large, pink-tinged head slowly to cover. Nose seems to be...free of lactose?! Could it be?? Juicy berry puree and modest lactic tartness with a clean, crackery finish. Lactic acid, cracker-like malt and some soft, wheat-like character with juicy, well-done, authentic, raspberry puree and I daresay, no frickin' lactose! Man, has it been a long while since I've had a non-lactose kettle sour. They're really quite refreshing and decent without it.

Can, undated, drunk 8/16/23. Clear cherry-amber. Small, butter head fades to nothing quickly. Really nice mix of malt, hop and yeast, and just enough Vienna malt to give done richness and very light roast without overdoing it. Soft and malty up front transitioning to a bit of roast and light bitterness. Lingering caramel and light fruit. Good attenuation, remaining quite malty with cookie-like base malt balanced by gently bitter, herbal hops. Clean.

Undated can drunk 8/13/23. Very orange-amber. Maybe a bit of caramel malt? Lightly hazy. White head quickly to spotty cover. Orange blossom honey. Some light caramel-vanilla malt. Not a ton of aroma, but it's clean. Soft, malty, fruity with big orange and light pineapple. Some gross caramel suggestions. Not sure why caramel malt is ever used in an IPA. Had to dump it, sadly.

Brewery draught, 8/9/23. Deep orange-kumquat. White head quick to ring. Some caramelly malt with lemon, stone fruit and ripe kumquat. White bread, as well, from the malt. No resin, low hop character overall. Zesty, floral, perfumey, light bitter. Some cracker and toast. Decent body/texture. But strange flavor profile. Seems to have an identity crisis. Bit too much lemon oil character too.

Brewery draught, 8/9/23. Mostly clear, pineapple. Small, white head to ring quickly. Good peppery nose, clean, well attenuated it seems. Very spicy hop character. Some honey-like malt on the very end. No bubble gum, banana, low clove. Nice and dry, some clove, citrus acidity, heavy pepper. Good chewiness to the grain, providing some depth for the spice to sink in to. Very fluffy carbonation, not too much acidity. Pretty basic, but very competently done.

16 oz. can purchased at the brewery for a cost of $9.99. Aroma of caramel, smoke and spice. Flavor has the aroma notes with the addition of chocolate, coffee and ash. Maybe even a touch of coconut. The alcohol is pretty hidden overall. Really great flavor. I can’t wait to revisit this brewery.

Can pour shared by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's an opaque black with thin cap of tan head fading to a ring and trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted earthy malt, oak and bourbon in nice balance, with mild vanilla. Taste is strong earthy roasted malt, bordering on peat, with milder bourbon, vanilla, caramel. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, fairly thin, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste--with all that, no sign of alcohol!!! Overall, decent complexity and barrel certainly doesn't overwhelm. Deceptively thin/light for ABV. Allow it to warm.

16 oz. can from the brewery. Aroma has a elevated citrus character. That citrus follows through into the flavor with a very mild florals in the finish. Caramel / toasted malt that melds decently with the hops.
