St Gambrinus, Brooklyn tap: pours black with a tan head. Aroma is slightly bretty and fruity and light chocolate. Taste is just slightly bretty. Somewhat sweet. Low chocolate and roast. Kind of pointless, but not bad.

Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a cloudy earthy peach with a deep gold hue and a large near white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has lots of dry citrus with a light funkiness and a bit of sweet grain. Flavor has a bitter citrus with a light funkiness, some tartness and a dry finish.

The Sampler, Brooklyn bottle: pours orange with anwhite head. Aroma is bretty and fruity. Taste is typical of bretty farmhouse... If you know you know. Low bitterness and sweetness. Moderate levels of fruitiness. Some minor spice. Not the earthy kinds of brett though. Somewhat tangy. I was not crazy about it.

Draught @ Hops Hill. Inky black with fast disappearing frothy beige head, faint brabdy aroma, medium carbonation, slightly sweet brandy taste with some mocha, longish mocha finish with marked brandy influence. Quite strong preeminence of the brandy barrel.

Bottle. Pours yellow gold with big fluffy white head - nose/taste of sea salty wheat, citrusy hops, juicy nectarines and pink grapefruit, coriander, fresh cut grass, sour lemon and tangy sour lactose - lighter medium body.

Draught @ Astoria Bier and Cheese. Murky dark brown with largish spongy tan head, coffee aroma, low carbonation, thin body, bitter coffee beans taste with cherries, long bitter finish. A bit disappointing due to the thin body, and I did not get much funkiness at all.

Tap at stags head. Murky gold pour white head. Nose is spices and some fruit. Tastes of spicy yeast, blueberry, somewhat boozy, banana, touch of cellar floor. Thick mouthfeel.

Bottle shared at the 10th Annual Epic & Unusual Beer Tasting, 11/29/15. Hazy yellow, medium foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of pale bready malt, spice, tropical fruit and citrus. The taste is yeast, spice, tropical fruit, stone fruit. Medium bodied, lingering spice.

Sample at Proletariat. Hazy pinkish-yellow color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Citrusy and floral nose with some hops and wheat. Medium body with flavors of floral hops, citrus, wheat and malt. The finish is wheaty with a spiced orange aftertaste. Above average overall.

Aroma: The nose is tart and a fruity with some oak / wood, and a bit of alcohol
Appearance: Pours a golden-orange color with a creamy, sheeting beige head and drippy lace
Flavor: Funky and tart, fruity sweetness, wood notes, and a bit of tannin-like astringency
Palate: It drinks pretty nicely and cleanly, bright, crisp, tart, creamy, and a little dry
Overall Impression: My first beer of December, time to start checking in on those 2015 goals. Looks like I'm at 4/6 with a good chance to hit the 5th one in the last month. As for this beer, even though it has some astringency, the tart flavor and the sweetness balanced it out, so it isn't an astringent beer. Not particularly dry either. Just really well rounded. I like the mix here quite a bit. One of those beers where you find something different in almost every sip, but the balance of the mix is what really stands out. Excellent beer. One of the best I've had from Transmitter.
