More roasted malt flavor upfront. Notes of coffee and cocoa yield to expressive citrus. A bit of blood orange and dank grapefruit. Wonderfully complex with an amazing balance of malt and hops.

16 ounce can. Honey gold pour. Thin creamy beige head. Fragrant citrus nose. Hints of grapefruit and lime peel. Flavor is sweet citrus, wheat malt, more lime and grapefruit, characteristic of the yuzu fruit. Middle presents the tell tale flavors of the wheat malt. Notes of clove, banana and bubblegum. Crisp dry finish has a subtle yeasty backdrop. Quite tasty and refreshing.

Deep hazy copper coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall off-white and tan glow that rises after pouring to a solid four centimetre tall head. Aroma of biscuits, malt, grain, light caramelised sugars, some subdued pitted fruit - but this really is all about the malts - which are quite strong. Light-bodied; Very easy drinking, yet malty flavours dominate with the earthiness and especially nutty qualities at first that fade to more of a caramel and toffee sweetness as the time goes on. Aftertaste shows the sweetness from fruits and a good deal of nutty flavours, but the malts and light biscuity and yeastie components show through, especially towards the end, but with a lot of carbonation and some very light alcohol - this goes down very easily. Overall, a nice and interesting beer that shows a lot of earth and nutty flavours with a pleasant sweetness, all in a very easy-drinking package with some mellow sweeteness. Try this in the summer when any clearer beers (think gose/berliner weisse/kolsch) have become staid. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 21-November-2018 for US$2,29 sampled in my hotel room here in Columbia, Maryland on 22-April-2019.
