In 2022, we decided to join forces with Siphon Brewing and start a new brewing site in Michelbeke, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes.

Good dense & fine, light yellow head over finely carbonated lightly veiled goldn beer, lacerings. Aromatic hops in force, rosewater, dry-hoppy. Citrus, straw, peach, rather perfumey. More hops in the flaovur, and craftier, less perfumey. Finish has a nice sourish touch - as not-quite ripe straw- or raspberries. Light to medium bodied (light for a 7% beer), good carbonation, slick to (hop)oily. Ouff... Nice one to rate, I was holding my breath after the stout experience.

Good cream to beige head over well-carbonated brown-black beer. End of bottle UFO-laden, faint lacerings. Woody, quite a bit of ureum, cardboard; roasted & sweet malts. Ureum in the taste, too - and even ammonia! Slight sourish hint and of course, lots of roasted malts and flavours. Slight astringency, quite well-carbonated to spritzy; slick and medium bodied. Sorry guys. At least in my bottle there was something that ought not to be there. And moreover, I was sorely tempted to substract another point for what must be the silliest name I had to suffer in years...

Bouteille 33cl, BB27/05/2017.

330 ml. bottle. Purchased @ De Hopduvel. BBF 03/2017. Contains Magnum, Tettnager, Mosaic & Citra according to the label, 35 IBU + 10 EBC. Sparkling light clear golden, touch orange fluffy egg-white head. Nicely lacing. Nose is milky yeast, light lemon, white bread mixed with some rather mellow pine, citrus & light exotic hop notes. Taste is lemon, sweetish bread, light exotic fruits upfront leading to a reasonably bitter dry grass with floral notes finish, nectarine, peach, some grapefruit, touch darker bread – the rye I suppose,… Lingering grass & juicy stone fruit / peach finish, dries your mouth out despite the clear yeast presence. Great aftertaste,… Easy to drink, very pleasant,… Very creamy,... A very nice start from this new contact brewery,… A great hybrid beer, it is hoppy but differs clearly from the USA fare in my opinion. Lovely.
