Can thanks to wombat23. Forgot about this one—nine months the cellar. Amber with a frothy, white head. Pleasant, perfumed, floral aroma. Taste is bitter with a dry finish and a touch of resin. Good, malty backbone. Body to the full side of medium, moderate carbonation. Slightly warming but the alcohol remains hidden. Good.

Canned, 355 ml in Austin. Clear golden with small white head. Watermelon, bit citric, medium sourness. Quite simple. Moderately refreshing.

On tap at the source. Pint glass. Gold, half hazy, bubbly. Estery, banana, heff-ish nose. No pepper. Taste is super yeasty, some orange, bland fruit, chalk. Lingering sweetness. Not enough pepper to even notice. A little disappointed. Blood Orange Wit hit the spot way better.

On tap at the newer location in May. Old place is closed. Pint glass in the barn. Hotter than fuck out in the sun. Thinner than you'd expect. Coarsely filtered. Significantly darker & more copper/golden than a typical wit. Round, orange, rind-y, pleasantly bitter nose. Taste is definitely a noticeable amount of bitter pith & natural blood orange/cherry/fruit punch notes. Less yeasty than their saison for some reason. Like a 7 to a 3. More bubbly & crispy throughout, mellow abv. More like an American wheat. Tasty though. Could do five before I need tacos.

12 oz can from Total Wine - San Antonio. Pours a pitch black color with a small light brown head and decent retention. A few small spots of lacing. Fresh ground coffee aroma. The flavor is coffee-forward too, with the vanilla and cinnamon helping to cut the coffee flavor, but not much. The 8.5% ABV is well hidden. Minimal bitterness. Medium body, but a bit thin for a stout. Smooth. Okay, but too much coffee for my palate.

IPA good enough, mango too, only better. 12 oz can with my Chimay glass arrayed, don't ask. The pour is a light yellow-orange with a pillowy head of white puree. Uplifting scent, tropical with some essence of IPA circling. The taste is okay, not extraordinary. Pine, hops, tropical I guess with mango being a part of that. Medicine and varnish too. I thought we would go a different direction with this one.

Many years ago I thought an Oktoberfest beer was as good as it gets and then promptly burned out on them, too much of a good thing apparently. This 12 oz can of Cozy Bavarian was found at Mr. T's recently. The label informs of a 6.4% abv. Chilled and now ready, I am pouring into my Great Heights snifter. I see an attractive hazy amber-orange body with a thin skim of eggshell brown foam. The scent is grain, malt and caramel. A drink is nice but no rewriting of the book. A bit of toffee sweetness, whole grain bread, field and a light bitterness. It is tough to stand out in this style.
