Description
The Genesee Brewing Company, based in Rochester, New York, is one of the largest and oldest continually operating breweries in the United States. It was founded by Mathius Kondolf, one of Rochester’s early entrepreneurs, after purchasing the Reisky & Spies Brewery (since 1857), changing its name to The Genesee Brewery.

The Genesee Brewing Company is since 2012 part of FIFCO USA, the largest independently owned beer company in the United States. With a focus on product quality, facility upgrades (including the relighting of the iconic Genesee Beer & Ale sign), conservation initiatives and employee safety, FIFCO USA has invested in the Genesee family of beers, its employees and the community.

In 2012 The Genessee Brew House was created to capture and share with you the long history of The Genesee Brewery - one of the largest and oldest continually operating breweries in America.

As soon as I opened the can there was some heavy skunk aroma later, it was orange Citrus skunk. Flavors are sweet orange Citrus balanced with good carbonation. Average body and finish. One and done.

The Aromas are a sweet blend of strawberries and fruit cocktail. Flavors are Lake Nose losing a little of the strawberry in adding a hint of caramel but neither Aroma nor flavor has any passion fruit. Good carbonation to balance the sweetness a little. Decent body and okay to drink . It seems that the hemp thing is just a gimmick because there's no sign of that either.

Can, pours dark red. Light to medium body. Caramel malt aroma, sweet burnt malt taste. Mildly bitter finish. Not even an approximation of a real schwarzbier.

Goes perfectly with the juicy lucy - two beef patties sandwiched around a layer of cheese. So messy!!
